The Movie . . From Pulpit to Palace

The title of this "real "or "imagined "story shall be . . . from PULPIT TO PALACE . . . Sub-titled . . . a man sent on a mission . . . it all started in a small town in Northern Ireland. A young man who had just become of college age was about to start on a journey, on a journey to power and money. (that was his secret desire and had been for many years now.) He needed to enter college, but alas what was he to learn . . what was he to become? He did not want to follow in the footsteps of his father, who was you see, a preacher.He was in fact the son of a 'PREACHERMAN ', and that work did not bring any power and money that's for sure. He thought long and hard as to how do I get from point "a " to point "b ".....................with the least amount of resistance?One Saturday summer afternoon when the young lad was home alone and giving much thought to his future plans, there came a knock at the door. As the lad looked out to the street he saw a rather large black 4- door automobile. A chauffeur stood at it's side, hands clasped as if he were at attention and waiting. When he opened the door there were ( 3 ) men standing there. They wore dark suits,wide brim hats and narrow "paisley print" neckties. The leader or spokesman simply said we are here to speak with you about your future. You are home alone correct? The young lad said yes, we are alone. They sat and they proceeded to explain to the lad that if he wished to be wealthy and powerful more then his wildest dreams were aware of that he must give serious thought to what he was being told. They explained that he was being watched from afar by very rich and powerful folk who had great expectations of the young lad, expectations that would come in to play in future years to come. This group of people will assist you and direct you in your steps into the future, but on condition that their help is to be a total secret. No one is to know of their help to you. They told this young man that if he agreed to the proposal that he would realize all his dreams of money and power. All his dreams . . all will come true......BUT....one day . . sometime in the future when his dreams have been realized, he will be contacted. He will be given verbal instructions as to what he is to say and do regarding "certain matters", at which time he must not "refuse" anything that is asked of him, otherwise his newly found wealth and power will collapse instantly.They informed him that they wanted him to come to his decision concerning these matters by Tuesday at midnight, and that he is to be at the bandstand in the town square at 11:45 that night then they would take him to a secret location to meet with "THE MAN",and to tell no one of this conversation.Well the men started for the door to leave but just then the young lad, THE SON OF A PREACHERMAN, asked, who sent you to me? Who is the "BIG MAN" I am to meet ? Slowly they turned to him and and quietly said it this way..................................."Let"s just say we were sent by the BROTHERHOOD OF THE . . ."The last word was blurred and muffled. The young lad could not hear that "final" word . . and so they left. As he sat there and thought . . what am I to do? How much do I want money and power? How important is it that I live in a PALACE?HE HAS UNTIL TUESDAY TO MAKE HIS DECISION.WHAT WILL HE DO ? WHAT DO YOU THINK HE SHOULD DO?Now the names, the dates and the places have been withheld, at least for this writing.This could be . . may be . . a short overview of a new movie soon to ....The title could be . . may be . . from "PULPIT TO PALACE" Subtitled.....a man sent on a mission. Is this fiction or is this TRUTH? What say you ?
